At Summerhill Capital, integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations into our investment process aligns well with our fundamental investment approach as the companies we choose to invest in are growth oriented, progressive, responsible, and forward thinking.

Our research process includes engaging with management in order to ensure that there is a commitment to the best governance practices. Proxy voting is, of course, another way to achieve this goal. We do not outsource voting of proxies. Our policy is to always have the portfolio managers assess each situation and vote accordingly, with the ultimate goal of providing the best outcome for the benefit of all stakeholders.

  

Summerhill Capital is an active member of the Canadian Coalition for Good Governance (CCGG) which is widely recognized for its efforts to improve corporate governance in Canadian public companies.
